My Services

Listed below are some of the things I will do for you when you send me your crochet pattern to tech edit.

Style Check

• review every line and section in detail
• check all grammar and spelling
• check punctuation
• ensure consistency throughout
• ensure all necessary components are included (gauge, yarn information, etc.)
• check that all necessary instructions are included
• ensure stylesheet is followed, if you have one
• and more!

Math Check

• check your grade calculations
• check your stitch counts
• check that schematics and/or charts are accurate

What I Will Do for You

• amigurumi patterns, home decor items, accessories (scarves, shawls, etc.), simple garments, etc.
• tunisian crochet patterns
• patterns using UK or US terms
• be timely and thorough and keep your pattern information confidential
• provide two free rechecks of your pattern after my initial review

What I Don’t Do

• Edit patterns of licensed characters, unless you have been given permission to create the design by the copyright holder.
• Grade your pattern. However, I will be double checking your numbers.
• Create your schematic or stitch chart. Although I hope to add this to my services in the very near future, at this time, I will only be checking to ensure they match your written pattern.
• Crochet your pattern. Although I will undoubtedly want to stitch your pattern, I will be either picturing it in my head or sketching it out to ensure I understand your stitch pattern correctly.
• Rewrite your pattern. My goal is to maintain your voice and style. I will point out inconsistencies and issues that I find, however I will only be noting these for your review.
